Do I need a garden design?

Garden design is a different discipline to landscaping but the two are interdependent. I shouldn’t be saying this but despite what others blog posts say, a garden design is not always necessary, sometimes all you need is a quick sketch. However hiring both will not add to the overall cost of the project in fact you’ll more than likely save money.
We can offer a 3d CAD drawing or a quick sketch depending on your needs.

What will landscaping cost?

They vary according to the scope of works, the materials you choose and quality of the workmanship. Never base them on garden makeover programs, The price shown rarely includes any labour costs and very often they have had a massive discount on materials from suppliers so they can generate business from the viewers. Think of it as an investment like a kitchen, bathroom or extension. What will my quote include?

Your quote should include the following:

PREPARATION - Stripping your garden back, disposing of waste ,tree work, excavating and building sub bases. A lot of this work is called ‘ Dead work’ as its work that is never seen again.

ACCESS - Entryways for materials , people and equipment. This could increase the labour costs.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT - This is to ensure the entire garden build runs smoothly.

LEVELS AND EARTHWORKS - Some of the biggest costs in the project especially if soil needs to be removed or brought in to increase the levels.

PLANT HIRE AND MACHINERY- Having the right tools and machinery on site really helps and can speed the project up.

HEALTH AND SAFETY - often overlooked by less professional landscapers. At MLC Garden Solutions we have a duty of care to everyone on and around our site. Staff are regularly updated with ‘tool box’ talks to insure standards are kept high.

MATERIALS - All materials should be included so shouldn’t have to worry about a thing.

LABOUR - The most important part of the project. Skilled men and women who can create your garden to the very highest of standards.

How soon can work begin?

We operate a first come first served basis and tend to get booked up early for the period between March and September. If you have specific dates you would like work carried out, for example when you're on holiday, we will try our very best to accommodate these as best we can.
